Omakase Design System — Crafted with precision
一期一会 · One moment, one meeting
A design system inspired by the Japanese sushi counter — where hinoki cypress glows under warm light, each piece of nigiri is placed with surgical precision, and the itamae's craft turns simplicity into art. Clean surfaces, intentional negative space, and a palette drawn from nori, wasabi, ginger, and the ocean.
Every element is crisp and immediate. No excess, no ornamentation that dulls the impact.
Precision in every detail. The knife work is invisible — what remains is the result.
Respect for what is right now. Components adapt to context with natural harmony.
色彩
Colors drawn from the sushi counter — the warm wood, the dark nori wrap, the bite of wasabi, the blush of pickled ginger, the depth of soy.
書体
Playfair Display for elegant headlines, DM Sans for clean body text, Noto Serif JP for Japanese character moments. Precision in every stroke.
The best sushi is deceptively simple. A small mound of hand-pressed rice, a slice of the freshest fish, a whisper of wasabi between them. Years of training distilled into a single bite that lasts only seconds.
Light italic for captions and supplementary notes. Like the pickled ginger served alongside — a palate cleanser between courses.
寿司の世界は、素材の鮮度と職人の技が全てです。一貫一貫に込められた想いが、食べる人の心を動かします。
Noto Sans JP for UI labels and functional Japanese text.
間合い
Sushi plating is the art of negative space. Each piece is placed with intention, the gaps between them as important as the pieces themselves.
The base unit is 4px — like the precise measurements a sushi chef uses when cutting fish. Everything scales from this foundation: 4, 8, 16, 32, 48, 64, 96.
釦
Decisive and clear, like calling out your order at the counter. Each button has purpose and weight.
入力
Like writing your order on the wooden tag at the counter — clean, direct, unambiguous.

The toro-red accent marks this as the premium option — rare, exceptional, not to be missed.
Dark nori background for premium, immersive content. Like the black lacquer of a bento box.
